De site Fok.nl meldt toch wel iets heel opmerkelijks. De nieuwssite beweert dat de PC-versie van Modern Warfare 2 later komt dan de de Playstation 3- en Xbox 360-versie. Modern Warfare 2 moest een wereldwijde release worden voor de PC, Playstation 3 en Xbox 360. Als we dit bericht moeten geloven is dat dus helaas niet waar. De game zou op 10 november uitkomen, maar voor de PC fans wordt dat dus nu wachten tot 24 november. Infinity Ward heeft hier nog geen reactie op gegeven, dus de reden weten we helaas nog niet. Dit kan natuurlijk ook een marketingcampagne zijn van uitgever Activision om zo de verkoop op de consoles te stimuleren. Moeten we dit geloven of is het alleen maar aandachttrekkerij van Fok?
Opmerking: Hou het rustig in de comments, we tolereren geen scheldwoorden, fanboywars etc. UPDATE: Activision-Blizzard is vandaag naar buiten gekomen met een lijst waarop de releasedata staan van hun eerst volgende games. Op deze lijst is te zien dat de pc-versie van Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 op 24 november zal verschijnen, twee weken later dan de Xbox 360- en de PS3-versie van Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 en de Wii-versie van de eerste Modern Warfare. Niet iedereen hoor maar het is vaak zo dat kleine kinderen een pc van papa krijgen en dus nergens zelf wat voor hoeven doen. Jongens als ik hebben hard gespaard voor een console en doen daar nu ons voordeel mee. Ze hebben het van Activision's officiële releaselijst(en) gehaalt. M.a.w. het is erg betrouwbaar. Activision NL is dik kans nog niet op de hoogte omdat het van bovenaf komt (Amerika is namelijk altijd 'eerst' als het op games aankomt).
Men begint het echt te bont te maken bij IW/Activision. Triest hoe men omgaat met PC gamers. Het klinkt raar maar men zou weldegelijk een boycot op poten moeten zetten. Eens zien hoe men dan reageert.
Maar ach, aan de andere kant. Het kan hun geen ene moer meer schelen. Ze hebben immers Microsoft achter zich (m.a.w. alle Xbo360 gamers, mainstream of niet).

Het voelt alsof er steeds meer geprobeerd wordt om de PC-games minder verleidelijk te maken dan de console-games. Alsof ze van de PC afwillen..

Volgens mij is dit het begin van het console 'tijdperk' qua gaming. PC wordt continu gediscrimineerd door (laten we MW2 als ideale voorbeeld nemen); geen collectors editions te releasen, de releasedatum uitstellen, amper nieuws melden, en exclusieve DLC aankondigen voor andere platformen.
Ik blijf het zeer schandalig vinden dat iemand als IW/Activision dit durft toe doen, aangezien ze gestart zijn bij PC. En op PC valt véél meer te verwezenlijken, en niet alleen op grafisch gebied.
Achja, consoles brengen nu eenmaal meer geld op, en sinds gaming een gigantische opkoop bussiness is geworden moeten de arme PC gamers daaronder lijden.
In mijn ogen is piraterij een flauw excuus, en zeker als het over COD gaat. COD is zeer gewilt om zijn Multiplayer capaciteiten, singleplayer is voor vele een soort extra.
Ik kijk vol genoegen uit naar de dag dat piraterij even fel inslaat op consoles als het nu doet op de PC, en ja, alles valt te hacken. Begrijp me niet verkeerd, piraterij is jammer. Maar IW merkt daar echt NIETS van.
Anyway, dit nieuwtje heeft me weer ferm pissed gemaakt voor de rest van de dag. |

Hier zou je geen fanboy ruzie/discussie voor moeten hebben. Er zou geen verschil mogen zijn tussen PC en Consoles.
De game moet gewoon beschikbaar staan voor ieder platform zonder gedonder zoals marketing trucjes.
Een game zoals CoD zou neutraal moeten staan, (Zoals back in days) maar de laatste tijd krijgt de 'pc-gamer' een 2de rank vergeleken bij de consoles.
k zelf ben een érg intensieve gamer op de PC en door deze pc-discriminatie voel ik me toch wel genaaid.. vraag me af waar m'n geld heengaat op deze manier. |

Dat is echt de grootste onzin die ik hier ooit heb gelezen!
PC-eigenaren betalen zich blauw aan steeds weer nieuwe hardware, en de basisprijs van een PC en alles wat er bij hoort is minstens drie keer zo veel als een console. Consoles worden tegenwoordig door iedereen gekocht, gegeven voor verjaardagen, etc.
Hard sparen doe je voor je mooie PC-onderdelen, maar vervolgens krijg je een dolk in de rug door dit soort geintjes (niet die drie weken uitstel, maar bij RE5 een half jaar uitstel, zonder verdere PC-publiciteit, opdat men kan aantonen: ''Piracy is killing us''. Hard sparen doe je niet voor een console, want het basisapparaat is erg goedkoop en ze kan door iedere malloot gebruikt worden, waardoor veel vrij jonge mensen zo'n ding bezitten. Logisch, want het constant op papa's PC zitten gaat ook een beetje irriteren, hè?
Games zijn dan wel weer wat duur, maar het grote jonge publiek krijgt tegenwoordig consoles en bijbehorende games (die extreme marketing werkt goed bij de oudertjes) en de ouderen die een console zitten zijn vaak ook zeer casual. De echte hardliners vind je op de PC, zoals ik, maar langzaam sterven wij uit. |

| Neemt niet weg dat ik de Playstation 3 een mooi apparaat vind, maar echt gamen doe je niet met een controller! Zodra er geavanceerde keyboards komen, kan ik misschien meer naar de consoles toeneigen, ook zeker door al die exclusives. Consoles lijken steeds meer op PC's, over een paar jaar smelten die dingen samen, maar dan hebben de echte hardliners nog steeds PC's, voor de beste graphics en eigen onderdelen. |

Lees de rest van de comments boven je eens, dan snap je dat de bevestiging van Activision waarschijnlijk alleen een woordje was van de Benelux-vestiging, en die is echt niet meteen op de hoogte van wat zich bij de directeuren afspeelt. |

Interessante visie! We zitten inderdaad op een tweede rank sinds een jaar of twee, maar het is allemaal zo explosief commercieel geworden dat we niks in te brengen hebben.

Het gaat er niet echt om of het spel later uit komt of niet.
Het gaat er eigenlijk ook niet om of het zelfs wáár is of niet.
Er wordt simpelweg géén aandacht voor de PC-versie gegeven. (Op negatieve publiciteit zoals dit gerucht na)
Er is géén Collectors editie, geen hardware, (bijna) geen publiciteit, geen nieuws. Zelfs DLC aankondigingen worden voor de PC verzwegen.
Gelukkig staat er duidelijk op bol.com dat er een PC versie komt, anders zou ik me dát al afvragen..
Helaas ben ik bang dat dit echt een console tijd is/gaat worden. En ik ben bang dat het alleen maar erger gaat worden. (ook met andere toekomstige games).

Aan Bol.com valt weinig bewijs te ontlenen.
Ze hadden bij Streetfighter IV de hele tijd de releasedatum van de PS3 en XBox achter de PC-Versie staan.
Ik heb ze daar over gemaild en kreeg als antwoord dat ik uit kon gaan van de levertijd die op de site stond.
Eén dag voor de bewuste releasedatum werd hij aangepast naar de juiste datum, een klein half jaartje later. |

Elke link op internet verwijst naar de site genaamd Electronic Theatre.
Waarschijnlijk willen de owners van de site wat geld verdienen door deze nepperij te publiceren.(want ze zullen hier waarschijnlijk HEEL veel hits door krijgen...)
Als dit toch waar zou zijn, zou het misschien te maken kunnen hebben met het verbeteren van de versie of betere beveiligingen toevoegen zodat het minder snel te kraken is.
Zelf heb ik een Ps3 waar ik het erg goed mee kan vinden
Bij een vriend heb ik ook de pc versie gespeeld van CoD:MW welke ik toch ook wel erg goed vond!

Ze zijn ermee bezig om Keyboards op de PS3 te zetten. Kijk bijvoorbeeld naar de FRAG FX V2 controller. Daar zit al een muis in. Als er nou geen nunchuck bij had gezeten had ik hem zeker gekocht. |
